چکیده

Intestinal biopsies were performed in 31 infants with cow's milk protein intolerance. Mucosal damage was constant, partial villous atrophy being the most usual finding. Though these changes are nonspecific, small intestinal biopsy can be a useful investigation in these patients. With a milk-free diet, recovery of normal mucosal appearence is reached between 3 and 13 months.
